André Ward: A Chicago-Bred Jazz Virtuoso. Chicago native André Ward is a renowned jazz saxophonist whose music is deeply rooted in the city's vibrant jazz and R&B heritage. Inspired by iconic bands like Earth, Wind & Fire, particularly their legendary Phenix Horns featuring the late Don Myrick, Ward's musical journey began with an after-school program, leading him from drums to trumpet and ultimately to the alto saxophone.
