When Loose Ends emerged from the London soul underground in 1980 with their single "In the Sky," they redefined the sound of soulful grooves with a futuristic blend of synthesizers and rhythm machines. Their hits, including "Hanging On A String (Contemplating)," "Choose Me (Rescue Me)," and "Slow Down," became international anthems, combining lush soul, jazzy elements, and Caribbean influences. Known for their refined and sensual sound, Loose Ends bridged the gap between vibrant dance floors and intimate Quiet Storm playlists, carving a lasting legacy in the music world.
