Embark on a Mexican folklore musical journey

Musical adaptation and lyrics by Jessica Rosa Espinoza

Based on the book by Duncan Tonatiuh

Music composed by Clayton Cowell

This musical, based on the award-winning picture book by Duncan Tonatiuh, is a Mexican folktale about immigration and how it affects a family of rabbits. A drought forces Papa Rabbit to go North to find farm work so he can provide for his family. After years apart, worried, little Pancho sets out on an adventurous journey to find his Papa. On his way, he encounters a Coyote who offers to help. By the end of the journey, Coyote's real intentions are revealed.

While Pancho is eventually reunited with his father, the family's fate is in the hands of the coming year's harvest.
