Experience the raw power and white-hot virtuosity of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in the muscular Second Symphony by Alexander Borodin. The "extraordinarily charismatic" (Star Tribune) guest conductor Andrew Manze returns to lead the ASO. He welcomes violinist Clara-Jumi Kang for the bracing and earthy Violin Concerto by Finnish composer Jean Sibelius. To open the program, Manze kicks up the proverbial heels in the boisterous Sabre Dance by Aram Khachaturian, followed by a sumptuous, fragrant adagio from Spartacus.
