Event Description:
The Cretaceous Period (140-66 million years ago) was one of the warmest times in Earth's history, which allowed dinosaurs, birds, amphibians, insects and other animals to live near the North and South Poles. Dr. Martin will discuss the Cretaceous polar ecosystems of Australia, when it was still attached to Antarctica, and share the latest fossil discoveries and the remarkable stories they tell of how life adapted to polar environments.
