Event Description:
Diversity in these fields is of value to everyone. Varying perspectives are needed to more completely understand phenomena and spark innovation. It is the ability to think differently that most often leads to new discoveries. The women featured in this exhibition were nominated by math and science alumni and faculty of several historically Black colleges and universities, particularly Spelman College and Bennett College, as well as by African-American women working professionally in the fields of applied physics, epidemiology, computer science, and medicine. We offer tremendous thanks for their guidance and enthusiasm.
