ABOUT METROPOLIS: Fritz Lang's Metropolis is a groundbreaking 1927 sci-fi epic that has profoundly influenced the course of cinema. As one of the first feature-length science fiction films, its visionary design, from the towering futuristic cityscapes to its iconic robot, shaped the visual language of the genre.

Themes of class struggle, technology, and human connection resonated deeply during its time and continue to do so today. Metropolis has inspired countless filmmakers and works, from Blade Runner to Star Wars, solidifying its place as a cornerstone of cinematic history.

Rediscovered in 2008 in a Buenos Aires cinema museum, Metropolis was painstakingly restored to its original 150-minute cut, allowing modern audiences to experience Fritz Lang's sci-fi masterpiece as it was first envisioned.
